Elizabeth Bingham Whittaker and Charles Edward Schneider, Jr. were married Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 6 o'clock in the evening at the Biltmore Estate. The ceremony was officiated by the Honorable Darr Conradson. Following the service, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Biltmore Estate. The bride is the daughter of Gary and Helen Whittaker of Southport, North Carolina (formally of Kingsport, TN) and the granddaughter of the late Marion and Margaret DeWitt of Darlington, South Carolina and Thelma and the late Ken Whittaker of East Norriton, Pennsylvania. The bride wore her maternal grandmother's brooch. She is a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended the Honors College at Clemson University as a National Merit Scholar. She graduated magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Elizabeth is currently a Ph.D. student in the Information Science Department at the University of Michigan. The groom is the son of Charles and Alice Schneider of Garden City, Michigan and the grandson of the late Charles and Jane Schneider of Garden City, Michigan, and Emma Hatcher and the late Harold Hatcher of Romulus, Michigan. The groom is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Assurance. He was a Corporal in the Marines and served in Afghanistan. Charles works for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Ashley Williams of Pensacola, Florida, served as Maid of Honor. The groomsmen were Jeremy Ferack, Best Man, from Livonia, Michigan, and Henry Outlaw, from Westland, Michigan. The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Strada Restaurant. Following a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
