Melinda Rebekah Hall of Asheville and Lloyd Barron Van Dyke, II of Johnson City, TN were married on April 28, 2018 at Mills River Presbyterian Church in Mills River, NC. The Reverend Eddie Morgan officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sherryl Carpenter Williams and Dr. and Mrs. William A. Hall, Jr., all of Macon, GA. She is the granddaughter of the late Lt. Col. and Mrs. Neal H. Carpenter, the late Mr. and Mrs. William A. Hall, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Bert A. Davis. The groom is the son of Mrs. Bonnie C. Van Dyke of Johnson City, TN and the late Dean N. Van Dyke, Jr. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dean Nelson Van Dyke, the late Mr. Samuel Chauncey and the late Mrs. Mildred Chauncey.
The bride was given in marriage by her father Dr. William A. Hall, Jr. Sharon Pritchett was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Bernadette Cranford, Angie Hall, Katharine Hall, Leslie Hall, Christa Hebal and Sara Stillwell. Charlotte Hicklin and Abby Drafts were flower girls. Robert Willett served as best man. Groomsmen were Dr. William A. Hall Jr, Eric Hall, Timothy Hall, William A. Hall, III, Jason Hebal, and Justin Rohde. Harrison Stillwell was ring bearer. Readers were Dr. Alex Sargysyn and Shannon Phillips. Musicians were Dr. Barry Pate, Dr. Will Jones and Scott Coates.
The bride graduated from Valdosta State University and is a pediatric speech pathologist at Mission Children's Hospital in Asheville, NC. The bridegroom graduated from ETSU and is in sales and marketing.
Following a wedding trip to Jekyll Island, GA, the couple will reside in Fletcher, NC.
